Dear Beddington Heights Families,

We are excited to welcome students back to school tomorrow as we begin a new school year. Our staff are looking forward to seeing everyone and starting a year of learning, growth, and connection together. Students will come is at 7:57, and we have supervision outside starting at 7:45, so please come early to ensure a positive start to the school year!

I have a few notices to share to support a smooth start-up:

Hug and Go Zones / Bus Zones

Please note that Bermuda Drive and Bermuda Road on the school side of the streets are “Hug and Go” zones from the lamppost (marked with a Hug and Go sign) around the corner and up to the bus zone. If you would like to stay and watch your child until they enter the school, please park somewhere outside of this zone to allow other families to quickly and safely drop their children off for school.

We have four busses this near not including before and after care busses. Please do not use the bus lane for morning drop off as this impacts our ability to unload busses safely and efficiently.

Communication – What to expect

Each week, you'll receive two messages from the school:

·         Fridays: Your child’s teacher will send a message with important information specific to their class or grade.

·         Sundays (or Mondays on long weekends): The Principal’s Weekly Update will cover information relevant to the entire school.

We make an effort not to duplicate information in these messages, so it's important to read both the Teacher’s message and the Principal’s Weekly Update to stay informed about what's happening at the school.

Student Code of Conduct

As a school, it is our responsibility to ensure a positive learning environment for all students. It is our responsibility to ensure that staff and students are provided with a caring, welcoming, respectful, and safe learning environment. The Student Code of Conduct outlines these principles and identifies the roles and expectations related to student conduct.

If you have any questions or need assistance as we begin the school year, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office at 403-777-6610.

 Rethink the Drink

At Beddington Heights School, we are encouraging all students to bring water only as their drink for the school day. Choosing water supports healthy nutrition, helps with focus and self-regulation in the classroom, and keeps our school spaces cleaner and easier to maintain. Thank you for partnering with us in building healthy habits that set students up for success
