Dear Beddington Heights Families,

Thank you to all the families who supported Pizza Night at Domino’s Hunterhorn last night! It was wonderful to hear the enthusiastic response and to see firsthand how our community comes together to support one another. We look forward to the next Family Pizza Night on November 7th!

Yesterday we celebrated World Teachers’ Day! We appreciate the dedication, hard work, and positive impact our teachers have on shaping the lives of BHS students!

I have a quite a few additional updates today:

Dress Goofy Day | A message from Leadership Club

October 18 is Dress Goofy Day! Whether you wear mismatched clothing, bright colours, or socks on your ears, come to school in whatever makes you feel goofy!

Halloween Dance | Tentatively Scheduled for October 24th

The BHS Parent Association has tentatively scheduled the annual Halloween Family Dance for October 24th, pending the completion of our gym floor. We will provide updates as the date gets closer. All BHS students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and attend with an adult for a fun evening of dancing, crafts, and treats!

Orange and Black Day | October 31, 2024

To celebrate Halloween, students are encouraged to wear orange and black on Thursday, October 31st. They will also take part in fun, Halloween-themed learning activities throughout the day!

Fun Lunch | Tim Hortons October 24th

Our first Fun Lunch of the year will be October 24th from Tim Hortons. You can order a Fun Lunch for your child at healthyhunger.ca. Deadline for ordering is Saturday, October 19th.

Staffing Update

We would like to announce that we have some staffing adjustments within our team of Educational Assistants. Mrs. Ibrahim has already left our school, and Mrs. Bunagan’s final day will be this coming Friday as they both move on to pursue new opportunities. We sincerely thank them for their dedication and contributions to our school community and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

Moving forward, we will adjust our EA staffing model from 3 EAs at 15 hours each to 2 EAs at 25 hours each to better support our students and staff. Thank you for your understanding and continued support during this transition.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and if you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office at 403-777-6610.

Take care,

Steve Ross

Principal, Beddington Heights School
