Dear Beddington Heights Families,
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us for our K/2/5 Celebration of Learning on Thursday. It was wonderful to come together as a community once again, and we are incredibly proud of the students for their exceptional presentations. A special thank you to our dedicated staff for their hard work in preparing the students for this event!
I have a couple additional notices this week:
Indoor Shoes
As the weather has started to change, we want to kindly remind everyone that students still need to have indoor shoes at school. This not only helps keep our hallways and classrooms clean but also protects our new gym floor. We appreciate your support in maintaining a safe and tidy environment for everyone.
Pajama Dance | Possibility of Cancellation
I wanted to inform you that if the Labour Action continues, we would need to cancel the Parent Council Family Pajama Dance. I understand this event is something many are looking forward to, and I will keep you updated in next week’s message regarding whether it will be able to proceed or not.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our office at 403-777-6610. To those who are observing Ramadan, we wish you a peaceful and blessed month.
Take care,
Steve Ross
Principal, Beddington Heights School

Fun Lunch | Subway – March 13 (Deadline to order is March 8th)
You can order a Fun Lunch for your child at healthyhunger.ca. Deadline for ordering is Saturday, March 8th. This month we were able to provide six students with a Fun Lunch who do not typically receive one due to generous donations of Beddington Heights families! Thank you for your support!
Popcorn Sales
This year, Parent Council will be selling popcorn for students every Thursday. All proceeds will support BHS families in need during the Winter Break/Christmas season. New this year, popcorn orders will be made through Healthy Hunger, so students won’t need to bring money to school. Families can also pre-order for multiple weeks if they prefer.
To order, please visit HealthyHunger.ca. The ordering deadline each week is the Saturday before each Thursday.
Pajama Family Dance | March 13
Join us for a fun-filled Pajama Dance hosted by the Parent Association on March 13th, from 6-8pm at Beddington Heights School! It's a family dance, so students must attend with a parent, guardian, or an adult family friend. This dance is for current Beddington Heights students and their siblings.
Ramadan
Ramadan, a significant time of prayer and reflection in the Muslim community, takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. During this time, some families may choose to have their children fast during the school day.
If your child will be fasting and would prefer an alternative space during lunchtime instead of the classroom, please let us know. We will provide a quiet, supportive space to ensure they have a comfortable and positive experience.
If you would like to arrange this for your child, please email me at saross@cbe.ab.ca, and we will coordinate accordingly
