We have a short week ahead, with students returning for two days after our Fall Break. A reminder that the Fun Lunch order deadline is this Saturday. Additionally, the Growing Smiles and Purdy’s Chocolate fundraisers are only open for about another week, so please place orders soon if interested. More details are provided at the end of this email.

Parent Teacher Interviews | November 28 & 29
Please see the chart below for information on Parent Teacher Interviews coming up in two next weeks.
Families are required to book a time for their interview through their MyCBE account where you can select Book and Manage Meeting Times. More information on how to book an appointment can be found here.
Families requiring an interpreter will be contacted by one at their appointment time to assist in the communication during the meeting.

Below is information on two fundraising campaigns that have just begun. These fundraisers help raise money for council to support school based initiatives, and all support is greatly appreciated!
Purdy's Chocolates Fundraising Campaign:

Fun Lunch | McDonalds November 21st (Deadline to order is November 16)
Our second Fun Lunch of the year will be November 21st from Tim McDonalds. You can order a Fun Lunch for your child at healthyhunger.ca. Deadline for ordering is Saturday, November 16th.
Popcorn Sales
This year, Parent Council will be selling popcorn for students every Thursday. All proceeds will support BHS families in need during the Winter Break/Christmas season.New this year, popcorn orders will be made through Healthy Hunger, so students won’t need to bring money to school. Families can also pre-order for multiple weeks if they prefer.
To order, please visit HealthyHunger.ca. The first popcorn delivery will be on October 24th, and the ordering deadline each week is the Saturday before each Thursday.
Warm Hearts, Warm Jackets: Helping Keep Our Community Cozy!
As the chilly season approaches, we’re dedicated to supporting our school community and ensuring everyone stays warm. Thanks to organizations like Jacket Racket and Boots for Kids, we have resources to help those in need.

Child and Youth Well-Being, Family & Caregiver Fall Series
The Calgary Board of Education (CBE), in collaboration with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Recovery Alberta, has developed a parenting series that includes both live and on-demand sessions. The attached document provides details on current offerings available to parents. Topics include Screen Time: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, Building Resilience in Today’s Youth, and Understanding Autism and ADHD to Promote Long-Term Success. These sessions, along with other valuable resources, may be especially helpful for Beddington Heights School families. Winter Concert/ Celebration of Learning
Due to continued delays with the gym floor replacement, we must cancel the Grade K/4/6 Winter Celebration of Learning originally planned for December 5th. Instead, Kindergarten students will now join Grades 2 and 5 for an afternoon and evening Celebration of Learning on February 27th, while Grades 4 and 6 will join Grades 1 and 3 for a Celebration of Learning on May 1st.
