AMA Picnic | Heritage Park

Our Grade 5 and 6 patrollers will be heading to Heritage Park on Tuesday for their year-end thank you field trip in recognition of their dedication to keeping our students and families safe when crossing the road. Their commitment, responsibility, and care make a real difference in our community.

Please take a moment to thank them next time you see them on duty for all of their hard work throughout the year. A special thank you as well to Mr. Lancee, Mr. Berry, and Ms. Baker for their time and effort in organizing and supporting our patrollers all year long.

Staffing Update

Mrs. MacPhee has accepted a position at Tom Baines School starting next year. While she will certainly be missed at Beddington Heights, we are excited for this new opportunity and wish her all the best in her next chapter.

We are also pleased to share that Ms. Wells will be taking over the Kindergarten program for the upcoming school year. We are confident she will do a wonderful job and continue to provide a strong start for our youngest learners.

Our next Fun Lunch will be South Street Burger on June 18th. The ordering deadline is June 13. Orders can be placed at HealthyHunger.ca. This month we were able to provide 12 students with a free fun lunch thanks to generous donations from BHS families!

If your child is absent on Fun Lunch day, their lunch will be kept in the office until 3:00 p.m. for pick-up. After that time, it will be discarded to meet health and safety guidelines and due to limited storage space.

Library Book Returns

As we approach the end of the school year, we are beginning to collect all library books from students. We ask that you please take a moment to check at home and return any library books your child may still have. Returning books helps us ensure our collection is ready for students again next year. Thank you for your support.

Dates of Significance

Observed on June 12, 2026, World Day Against Child Labour raises awareness about protecting children’s rights and ending exploitation. It reminds us of the importance of ensuring every child has access to education, safety, and opportunities to learn and grow.
