Hello BHS Parents and Guardians,

 Apologies but it has come to my attention that parents did not receive the weekly principal’s message last week – there was a malfunction with our messenger app. Please bookmark our school website as all my weekly messages are published there on Fridays.

 Thank you to the parent council for the extremely successful BHS Glow Dance last night. This event was very well organized and attended. Thank you to all the families that attended and for all the volunteers who made the night successful!

 We have officially started Grade 6 Leadership Club. Having student leaders is so important in creating a welcoming and fun school. Today two student leaders, Quentin and MJ, organized our breakfast bins for Monday morning. Other leaders have put up posters all over the school for the Costume Contest and student patrollers keep us safe! Thanks so much student leaders!

 We have had nine first year pre-service teachers from the U of C in our school for the past two weeks and today is their last day. Our partnership with post-secondary institutions is so important as these young teachers are the future of the teaching profession. I highly value the role of students teachers. BHS students were able to have an extra hand in the classroom and a BHS teachers had the opportunity to reflect on their own practice while responding to student questions. Soon some University of Lethbridge and Mount Royal University student teachers will begin in specific classrooms. If you see them around, please give them a big beluga welcome!

  • Citizenship Information Update - 2026-27 (only if there has been a citizenship change)
  • Annual Authorization - 2026-27
