Dear Beddington Heights Families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday! We were thrilled with the great turnout and truly value the chance to connect and collaborate in supporting our students' educational journeys.
I have a few additional updates today:

Message from Parent Council
The Beddington Heights Parent Council is grateful for the generous contributions to our fall fundraising campaigns. Thank you for making a difference in our school community.
A friendly reminder that pick up for Purdy’s and Growing Smiles orders will be taking place on Thursday, December 5. Please be on the lookout for an email notification on this date informing you when deliveries are ready for pick up.
Access to Food Resource
The City of Calgary's "Access to Food" page provides information about low- or no-cost food resources for individuals in need. It features a community food map and lists resources by city quadrant, along with printable guides. Users are encouraged to contact organizations directly to confirm availability and can access additional support by contacting 211 or using the Inform Alberta directory. The page is updated regularly to ensure accurate information. For more details, visit Access to Food.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office at 403-777-6610.
Take care,
Steve Ross

Volunteers
New this year, the cost of Police Information Checks is being covered for those requiring it. Please visit this link to learn more about how to volunteer with BHS this year!
Fun Lunch | Coco Brooks December 12th (Deadline to order December 7th)
Our next Fun Lunch will be December 12th from Coco Brooks. You can order a Fun Lunch for your child at healthyhunger.ca. Deadline for ordering is Saturday, December 7th.
Popcorn Sales
This year, Parent Council will be selling popcorn for students every Thursday. All proceeds will support BHS families in need during the Winter Break/Christmas season. New this year, popcorn orders will be made through Healthy Hunger, so students won’t need to bring money to school. Families can also pre-order for multiple weeks if they prefer.
To order, please visit HealthyHunger.ca. The ordering deadline each week is the Saturday before each Thursday.
Student Drop Off
We kindly ask all parents to remain outside the school during student drop-off times. While we appreciate your care and involvement, we encourage you to drop your children off outside and allow them to enter the school independently. This important step helps students build confidence and develop independence in a variety of settings. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Swimming | Dec. 9-12 (Grades 1-3) and Dec. 16-19 (Grades 4-6)
We’ve moved our annual swimming lessons, originally scheduled for March, to an earlier date to make the most of the time while our gym is out of service. Starting next week, you will receive field trip forms for your child’s participation. Please complete and return these forms promptly to help the Thornhill Pool staff prepare for our students.
We are grateful to our wonderful Parent Association for covering the cost of bussing for these sessions. The fee for the swimming lessons has dropped to $22.55. However, fee assistance is available through the City of Calgary, reducing the cost to $8. If you would like to access this reduced rate, please contact Mrs. Cumming at clcumming@cbe.ab.ca.
All swimming fees have been posted and can be paid through your child’s MyCBE account. Thank you for your support!
