Hello BHS Parents and Guardians,
I wish to extend a massive Beluga thank you to the Beddington Heights School Council for the wonderful Welcome Back Breakfast this morning. There was a great turn out of parents and students enjoying warm drinks and baked goods. Events like this help to create a welcoming and caring school community!
Click on the School Council Schedule of Events for an outline of all the School Council meetings, monthly community events, and fun lunches. Please review this and plan to attend and participate! Our Truth and Reconciliation Commitment 2026-2027
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their reflections on last year’s TRC commitment. Reconciliation is a shared commitment that involves us all. If you have not had the chance to complete the form, please do by accessing this link.
Koko’sinooniks
BHS will once again host the Koko’sinooniks program on Mondays and Wednesdays after school. This is a free program by Calgary AfterSchool. Activities are often led by Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers, or artists alongside Calgary AfterSchool teachers. If you are interested in registering your child, please call the school office.
Away for the Day Policy
Please be reminded that the government of Alberta has ordered that all student mobile devices (smart watches, phones, i-pads, etc) are not to be accessed during the school day by students in K-6 schools. The CBE “Away for the Day” Policy requires that devices must be powered off/set to silent and not accessed during the school day (including recess). If your child would like to store their device in the office, they are welcome to do so.
Alberta Health
Our Nursing colleagues will be in the school for Grade 6 immunizations on November 5. Grade 6 students will also have a presentation about health and immunizations on October 22. Please visit this site to learn more about this topic.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Clancy
