Families can also pre-order for multiple weeks if they prefer.

Accessing Assessments
We understand that some families have encountered difficulties accessing their child’s grades on PowerSchool this year. Please note that the PowerSchool App does not display assessment scores. To view your child’s progress, you will need to log in through a web browser. For step-by-step instructions on accessing all posted assessments from your child’s teacher, please refer to the attached guide or instructional video.
Ensuring Student Safety During Drop-Off Times
Despite repeated requests, unsafe behaviors during student drop-off continue to compromise the safety of our students. The current actions of many parents have escalated this concern to a critical level. If these issues persist, we will be left with no choice but to involve Calgary Police Services (CPS) and By-Law Enforcement to ensure compliance with the posted safety expectations. Our priority is the safety of all students and parents—including your children—as they arrive at/ leave school.
To maintain a safe and efficient drop-off process, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Use the Hug and Go Areas Properly: Pull into the zone, drop off your child, and leave promptly. Do not park, remain in your car, or wait with your child in this area, as it blocks others from safely dropping off their children.
- Avoid the Bus Zone: Do not park or drop off students in the designated bus zone in front of the school. This area is reserved for CBE and childcare buses and must remain clear at all times.
- Always Use Crosswalks: Crossing the road outside of marked crosswalks is unsafe and sets a poor example for students. Jaywalking creates significant safety challenges, especially as students begin navigating traffic on their own.
- Do Not Stop in the Middle of the Road: Stopping in traffic to drop off your child disrupts the flow of vehicles and creates a hazardous situation for everyone.
- Respect Crosswalk Visibility Rules: Do not park or stop within 5 meters of a crosswalk. This blocks the view of patrollers and pedestrians, making crossing unsafe.
- Avoid Parking on Corners: Parking on street corners obstructs traffic flow and violates traffic regulations.
- Staff Parking Lot is Off-Limits: The staff parking lot is reserved exclusively for CBE staff and cannot be used for drop-offs or parking.
- Plan Ahead: Arrive by 7:45 a.m. when supervision begins. This allows adequate time for a smooth drop-off and for your child to settle in before school starts. Arriving at 8:00 a.m. often results in rushing, tardiness, and classroom disruptions.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all of our students safe. Your support in following these guidelines is crucial to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Attached is a list of fines for violating parking expectations, should it come to that.
