We've had a fantastic week at BHS! On Wednesday, many students dressed as twins. Thursday was dedicated to Land Based Learning. Today, we celebrated Indigenous People's Day and Play Day. As we head into our final week of the school year, please let teacher’s know if your child will be leaving prior to Thursday so they can send their personal items home with them. A reminder that our final day of school is this Thursday, and school will end at 11:50 instead of the regular 2:35.
I have a couple additional items to highlight this week:
Truth and Reconciliation – Call to Action
As a school, in alignment with our commitment to continue to work together as a community in laying the foundation for reconciliation through education, we have committed to continuing to decolonize curriculum resources by infusing Indigenous literature as part of our ongoing practice. Our full Truth and Reconciliation Commitment can be found here.
