Today, we mark Bear Witness Day, an annual observance on May 10th commemorating Jordan's Principle, ensuring Indigenous children promptly receive necessary services and support. Learn more about Bear Witness Day here.
I have one additional item to highlight this week:
Spring Family Dance | Parent Council
School council will be hosting a Spring dance (just like the Halloween one, but no costumes) this Thursday in the school gym from 6-8pm. Students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult willing to take responsibility for them to attend.
Parent Council will be collecting donations of non-perishable food for the Beddington Community Cupboard at the dance. We welcome you to bring in food donations and drop them off at the dance!
I want to wish everyone a fantastic weekend. If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out—I'm here to help.
Take care,
Steve Ross

Popcorn Sales
This is a friendly reminder that Parent Council sells popcorn weekly to support families in need during the holiday season. Last year, we raised $2000, all going to BHS families! Popcorn is sold in homerooms on Tuesday mornings and then delivered by Thursday lunch. Each bag costs $2.50. Your support makes a meaningful impact in our local community!

Planning for 2024-25 | Current Grade K-5 Families
As we plan for the upcoming school year and organize class arrangements, it's important for us to know if your child won't be returning to Beddington Heights School. If we don't hear from you, we'll assume your child will continue at BHS for the next school year. Please respond to this email if your child won't be returning. Your help with our planning is greatly appreciated.
