This Tuesday, we're holding our School Council AGM. You can find the meeting link in the Key Dates section of this message. We invite all families to join us, as we have several positions on the Council that need to be filled for next year.
Additionally, I want to draw your attention to our Growing Smiles Fundraiser, organized by the Council. The deadline to submit orders is May 9th. More details can be found at the end of this message.
I have a few additional items to highlight this week:
Planning for 2024-25 | Current Grade K-5 Families
As we plan for the upcoming school year and organize class arrangements, it's important for us to know if your child won't be returning to Beddington Heights School. If we don't hear from you, we'll assume your child will continue at BHS for the next school year. Please respond to this email if your child won't be returning. Your help with our planning is greatly appreciated.
Hats on for Mental Health | Wednesday May 8th
Students are invited to join us on Wednesday, May 8th, as we put our "Hats On for Mental Health" at Beddington Heights School! Wear your favorite hat to show support for mental health awareness. Let's start conversations and break stigmas together!
SJAM Band Performance
On Tuesday, the SJAM band will be performing for our students. We are excited to welcome some familiar faces back to our school and have the opportunity to see them showcase their talents.
Lunchroom Changes
To accommodate our last swimming group next week, we will have some changes to our Lunchroom schedule. Grade 5/6 students will have lunch from 11-11:40, and Grade 3/4 will move to the 12:30-1:10 timeslot for the upcoming week only. Please note these changes if dropping off lunches for students.

Popcorn Sales
This is a friendly reminder that Parent Council sells popcorn weekly to support families in need during the holiday season. Last year, we raised $2000, all going to BHS families! Popcorn is sold in homerooms on Tuesday mornings and then delivered by Thursday lunch. Each bag costs $2.50. Your support makes a meaningful impact in our local community!
