This weekend, our Parent Council is organizing a bottle drive fundraiser in the school parking lot. We're grateful for the support from families who can contribute, as these funds help provide opportunities for our students. Check the recurring messages section for more details, and for details of current fundraisers and opportunities.

I have a one item to highlight this week:

Support Staff Appreciation Week

This week marked out Support Staff Appreciation Week, where we have been able to highlight BHS’s amazing team. This week, and all weeks, we are thankful for the highly skilled and dedicated staff of Educational Assistants (Mrs. Ruiz, Mrs. Azike and Mrs. Bunagan), Behaviour Support Workers (Mrs. Kim and Ms. Banks) and Lunchroom Supervisors (Mrs. Potter, Mrs. Adkins, Mrs. B, Mrs. Fraser, Mrs. Ping, Mrs. Eva and Miss Stef) who support our students daily!

We are also grateful for the work of our Library Assistant (Mrs. Mills) who works so hard to continually update our Learning Commons and make sure kids have access to literature that engages them!

We recognize the hard work of our caretaking team (Mr. Rak and Mrs. Hu) for all they do to make sure our school is a place that feels clean, warm, and welcoming.

And finally, I want to highlight the amazing work of our Admin Secretary (Mrs. Cumming). I cannot imagine how our school would possibly operate without her, and we are incredibly thankful she is part of our team!

I want to wish everyone a fantastic weekend. If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out—I'm here to help.

Take care,

Steve Ross

Popcorn is sold in homerooms on Tuesday mornings and then delivered by Thursday lunch. Each bag costs $2.50. Your support makes a meaningful impact in our local community!
